Laetitia Dowd

Laetitia Dowd is a finance executive with 25 years of experience in corporate finance, risk management, restructuring, and capital markets.

Prior to her current role, Laetitia was the Chief Financial Officer for Wells Fargo’s Corporate Investment Banking Markets division. During her tenure at Wells Fargo, Laetitia drove significant improvement in the return on capital for the Corporate Investment Banking division, by setting a strong risk management culture, improving strategies to allocate financial resources, focusing on cost effectiveness, establishing relevant performance indicators, building and coaching performing teams, and setting proper executive compensation. She also served as a trusted adviser to the executive committee in the design of effective risk management programs.

During her banking career, Laetitia held managerial positions with Bank of America and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta after training as an investment banker at Credit Suisse and as a financial analyst in the energy trading sector. Throughout these years, Laetitia sharpened her experience with prudent model, interest rate and credit risk management which were key to successfully navigating the 2008 financial crisis. Post financial crisis, Laetitia became an expert in planning and executing risk management programs in response to new capital regulations enacted as part of the Dodd Frank regulation.

Laetitia holds a B.A. degree in strategic marketing from the Institut Supérieur de Commerce from Paris, France, an MBA from the University of Georgia, and a MS in Finance from Georgia State University.

Her mission includes working towards more equitable communities. She is a board member and the chair of the Educational Equity Committee for Communities in School (Charlotte Mecklenburg), a nonprofit which provides students with the support and resources they need to succeed in school, in the workforce, and in life. Over the years, Laetitia served as a founding board member for the Wiskott Aldrich Foundation, a nonprofit based in Atlanta, GA which funds research and supports families impacted by WAS, a rare immunodeficiency disorder, and was a volunteer with the International Rescue Committee.

Laetitia lives in Charlotte with her husband and their two children, Emily and Nathan. She enjoys spending time with her family, practicing yoga, playing the piano, and is an avid reader.
